Partnerships and Recognition

The YCAA was invited to collaborate with the ClimateMusic Project, Twende Solar, and Music Declares Emergency through their Be Cool! Connections pilot program, an initiative that provides free solar installations to schools across the Global South that lack reliable access to electricity. Be Cool! Connections leverages fundraising efforts from schools in more resourced communities to accelerate climate action in under-resourced schools, and the initiative has already successfully installed solar panels at a school in Nigeria, providing students and their community with green electricity for the first time.

The YCAA translates climate awareness into action by empowering students with the resources, skills, and network to drive sustainable change in their schools and communities.

Youth Action

Effective, sustained, and equitable climate action is desperately needed to combat anthropogenic climate change.

This is why the YCAA empowers students across New York City to become global leaders of climate action.
